The first ever Orphan Care Family Camp!

Today's life style dictates fast rhythm, and when the average family is asked "When did you have a vacation together?" - they usually are not sure what to answer.

During our Orphan Care Family Camp parents and children had an opportunity to read the Word together, play sports, just be together, rest and forget about daily worries.

Also who can give the better advice and encourage you if not a person who has or had the same problems in life? Camp becomes a place where foster and adoptive families had an effective, useful time as one team during six days.

During the camp (which had about 130 people in attendance), we had practical lectures by Dr. Jill Clark (therapist from Sacramento, CA who specializes in children, teens, and marriage, and a New Hope Board member), private counseling sessions with Jill and parents, separate program for children and teens.

God certainly did amazing things - more than we had even prayed for! This first camp brings the Orphan Care Program to a much higher level. God is giving us a new vision on how to be more effective and reach more families and children in order that they might receive healing, pursue Godly living, and be lights to those around them. As I write this letter, a second camp is taking place, and in August, a third camp is planned.

Feedbacks on this camp:

Dear New Hope workers,
From all our heart we want to express our gratitude for this beautiful opportunity to be at the camp. There were interesting meetings, useful studies, good food, and interesting games. Your generous attitude makes this time unforgettable. This is the first time that all 10 of our foster children have been together at one camp.
Thank you for your care and that you need us. Also our children have become good friends with New Hope through the Bible Correspondence Course. Personal thanks to our caseworkers, Katya and to Oksana from L'viv. May God's blessing be upon you and your families.
Sincerely with love,
Petro, Larissa Bak and our children.

Dear friends,
We are the Matviyuk family, and are grateful for your love and understanding. You are really working in God's field, and we believe that Jesus will give you back for your care. The Bible tells us to care about orphans, and you are doing what is written and this is a big blessing. We had a great time at this camp. We are grateful that you serve by your wisdom. We are grateful to God that He can do His job through your open hearts. Jesus is proud of you! So may God bless you by the name of Jesus Christ.
With big love and sincerely,
       Matviyuk family.

Dear friends,
With all my heart I am grateful for the refreshment in this camp that was organized with your help. We have dreamed a long time for a meeting like this with all families, and finally it became a reality for us. Thank you for the opportunity to unite families, exchange experiences and practical ideas from life.
This refreshment is so useful for everyone, and if it will be God's will, we would all like to gather again.
With gratefulness,
       Katya. (Caseworker from Volyn region)
